Fast repair! The sun was going down and the outside condenser went out – the house was heating up fast. Dodd was out in 20 minutes and fixed it before it got completely dark outside. Very fair price too.

I would like to take a moment to commend Randy and his crew on a job well done. We were in the market for a whole system. Randy came in, did a thorough inspection of our home from attic to outside unit to inside units. He prepared a bid that explained ALL that he would do and the equipment to be placed along with a price (that I found could not be matched after receiving 2 other bids). He also recommended a product called an I-Wave that cleans the air as it is drawn into the return. After a month of having this product in our home, we have noticed a marked improvement for my wife who suffers from COPD (Emphysema and Asthma). The crew came in, did the job, sealed up the duct work and everything is working wonderfully. Then, after a couple of weeks Randy came by to do an inspection (GREAT customer service!). I normally do not write reviews of companies but in this case I make an exception to my rule. I would, without hesitation, recommend Dodd’s AC. It has been a great experience.

Dodd AC replaced our heating/ AC unit five months ago. Installation went great, the new system has been reliable and working great. The last couple of days we’ve had power reliability issues in our neighborhood with Entergy. The power would shut off and come right back on like flipping the light switch. This happened several times too many to count. The new AC outside unit has a diagnostic module that monitors voltage and other things that will shut down the compressor to protect it from damage. It shutdown due to issues with Entergy. I called for help, Randy came out in no time got the system reset and back to cooling. Randy didn’t charge me even though the fault was with Entergy. He said being the unit was less than a year old he didn’t feel it was right to charge us. I was ready to pay for the call out but he wouldn’t have nothing to do with charging me. Now if that doesn’t speak to his integrity and being helpful at his expense I don’t know what would. Top notch Randy, thanks for the help.

We had another air company come “fix” our unit mid May. On Memorial Day, my AC unit messed up. I have 3 little ones and my house was getting hot in the Texas heat! I called the company who originally fixed it, he wouldn’t come back out to look at it. I begged him. Still nothing. I called Dodd’s air conditioning and they came out the same day I called! They sent their technician, Cody. He was very informative and quickly diagnosed the issue. He fixed my AC and went over and beyond to clean it so it would have a better performance and cool quicker. I am so impressed with this company and Cody! Their email system is also superb. They sent out an appointment email, an email when it was almost time, and even included a pic of Cody so I would know who to look for. If you need AC work, do NOT hesitate to call Dodd’s air conditioning. I’m sure all of their technicians are great, but I would ask for Cody 🙂

I had a thermostat die on me last Saturday. I bought a new one but it needed to be rewired. I called around and Dodd called me back quick. The tech came right out and was able to fix the wiring and help program the new thermostat. Nice work and the tech was very pleasant.

I switched to Dodd AC for service and yesterday I had my main AC unit replaced inside and out. From the owner Randy who provided the quote, the service tech, and the install team, they were all very professional and knowledgeable. I feel confident that they will stand behind their company and their product. There’s no comparison to the competition that came out. While they might be a bit more expensive, the price for peace of mind is more than worth it. I highly recommend Randy and his team.

Our A/C quit running. Called Dodd and within an hour they were here trouble shooting. Found a “fried” circuit board and a bad thermostat. A quick trip to their shop for the parts, and they got the Air running, which is required to live in Southeast Texas. Contracted for their service contract, so no more worries.

I’ve known Randy for many years and have availed myself of his professional services on many occasions. Recently, during the installation of a new Nest thermostat it became apparent one of our units was having some difficulties. Randy and his helper came out and cared for directly. After an disappointing service call with another company from Beaumont, I decided to try a smaller company that had been around a long time. On BBB site it said Dodd’s had been around since 1985 so I chose them. The tech came out and found the problem the first tech missed. (First tech just suggested I get my evaporator pulled and cleaned for a very high price.) It was a bad relay causing my heating element to come on when the AC was on. Topped off my Freon level and explained that, while my evaporator coils were dirty, they also leaked, so it wasn’t worth cleaning a 10 year old unit. My AC works like normal again, but before he left I got a quote for an entirely new inside system. Fair price, I’m going to call them again soon to have it done. Highly recommend giving Dodd’s a chance, see if you end up as pleased as I did with the service.

Got a new units a couple of years ago. Great service and price. Love the maintenance program. They come out twice a year and check everything out I like the idea of it being taken care of and staying in service with little cost.
